Have you been flirting with keto diet lately? Don’t know where to start? Although keto cookies can be a great part of a well-balanced keto regime, I do not advise that they should be your first keto meal. Instead, read about the keto basics first. When you have it all under control, keto cookies can become an awesome choice for an occasional keto treat.
Winter time is best for keto cookie baking. On second thought, any time is the best time for making delicious keto cookies. I promise you that some of the recipes are so simple you’re hardly going to believe it. Just get yourself a whole bunch of spices like cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves to enjoy Christmas spirit keto cookies, or bake plain vanilla-flavored shortbread keto cookies any time of the year!
Keto Cookies Recipes
The following recipes are all gluten-free, sugar-free, and grain free. They can be sweetened with erythritol or a monk fruit sweetener. Some also contain stevia to help raise the sweetness of erythritol to the sugar level.
Most of the recipes use nut flours. Almond flour is my favorite, but I also add coconut flour quite often. When it comes to keto cookie recipes, I find a nut meal (for example almond meal) to be a perfect ingredient. In my opinion, roughly ground nuts work great for crunchiness. Last but not least, I often use macadamia nuts in my recipes. Macadamias are the most keto-friendly of all nuts. Although not the cheapest to get, they are by no doubt healthy. Back in the days, when I suffered from a chronic migraine, macadamia nuts would never trigger an attack for me, while other nuts would. Give macadamia nuts a chance if you can.
